      Description
      The firm is seeking a paralegal to assist in managing the legal function and assisting with the execution of both routine matters and strategic projects. This individual will be responsible for legal documentation in investment and non-investment functions of the firm, including assisting with the intake, initial review, negotiation, execution and/or record keeping of investment-related agreements, vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and fund offering documents. The individual will also assist with the management and execution of strategic projects as the firm continues to grow and expand into new investment opportunities, locations, and markets. The role reports to the General Counsel and will support the entire Legal and Compliance departments. The Paralegal will also liaise and cooperate daily with other departments: operations, underwriting, origination, investor relations, finance, and human resources.


      Qualifications

      • 5-8 years of in-house legal experience preferred

      • Corporate law experience helpful, preferably in the financial sector, particularly investment management and 1940 Act funds

      • Technologically fluent: adept at Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, and able to evaluate and learn new software including databases and similar systems

      • Project management experience, encouraged

      • Efficient, organized, and attentive to detail

      • Creative, solution-focused thinker

      • Careful and thoughtful communicator

      • Fast learner, able to take instruction and work unsupervised

      Compensation

      $60,000 - $80,000 per year
